Shake It Off

Whew....this morning, I had a whole worship moment as I got ready for work. The song that was on replay in my heart was Let It Rise by Bishop William Murphy. It has been a whole year that we have been in the midst of a pandemic, and it has not been easy. So much despair, so much loss, so many tears, and many thoughts about when it will all end. Sometimes we just have to let our praise and faith rise above our fears. As I raised my hands in worship, I had an overwhelming sense of peace. God has given us clear direction in His Word, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, KJV).

One thing about it, life has continued to move forward. We have to sometimes just shake it off. The things that cause us to have heavy hearts, restless nights, and moments filled with worry. In this life, we will have trouble. We do not want it, of course, but it will happen. There will not always be days of sunshine because storm clouds will roll through. The most important thing to do is take it moment by moment. Grab a hold of the lesson of your storm, rejoice in your happy moments, and allow the peace of God to settle you when you feel like you are going to lose it.

May your faith rise today. Let the glory of God rise within you today. If you do, you will feel His presence that casts out the enemy. We have authority in Jesus to speak with authority. Shake off everything that is attempting to rob you of your confidence in The Father. Be prayerful, but with everything you have, try not to worry. God has us in the palm of His hand.

Peace and blessings,

Dr. A.C.
