"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27, NIV). I have been meditating on His Word as I have navigated through these past two weeks. Being in management and faculty requires that I keep my wits about me. I cannot react even when my flesh would like to because I recognize that others are looking to me for guidance, and they need my light. Let's face it, people are looking for hope. If I let my light dim in this dark world, someone just might not find their way to Jesus. Today, anxiety tried to come upon me. As soon as I recognized it, God spoke His Word to my heart. "Do not be anxious about anything,but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6, NIV). I allowed His Word to wash over me, and you know what happened? I calmed down! There is so much to be anxious about, but we cannot allow our faith to waver. Be quick to reject the spirit of complacency and even grumbling. In spite of it all, God is STILL good! We know that we have victory in Jesus, and that alone should give us hope. If you are struggling today, grab onto the word and walk in peace. We have what we speak. I am speaking good health, favor, provision, protection, and sustaining peace over each of you. God wants us to always look to Him with eyes full of expectancy, hearts full of love, and minds in tune to hear His voice. Choose peace!
