Reset

God is giving us a time to reset. So many are using this time not to complain but instead work. I believe that I am being commissioned during this time to dig even deeper into His Word and to be still. I have never depended on man to be my source of sustenance. I know after going through job losses and disappointments that there is One that will never turn His back on me. "There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother" (Proverbs 18:24, New Living Translation). If there was ever a time in our history that we should remind ourselves of this, it is now. When others walk away, God is there. When the economy fails, and we are placed in unfavorable conditions, God is there. He is everywhere for each of us. So many have shared how this time has caused us all to slow down. Though you may be home more, keep working. Write that book that you have only dreamed about. Start that business that you have been to busy to launch. This is a time of preparation. What you do with this time is up to you. Reset your mind. Reset your heart. Reset your emotions. Accept this reset that God has graciously allowed. This not the time to squander time but to cherish and appreciate it.
