1. Services & Engagement

I provide professional editing and writing services.

• Scope of Work: Every editing project is unique. I cannot accurately estimate the final time required for any given job. Consequently, I do not provide final cost quotes.

• Contract Requirement: All clients must complete, sign, and date a formal contract before any completed work is released to the client.

• Consultations: Phone consultations are not a customary or mandatory requirement to secure my services.

2. Pricing & Financial Terms

By engaging my services, you agree to my established pricing structure:

• Standard Rate: My standard editing service is billed at $80 per hour.

• Rush Jobs: All projects designated as rush jobs are billed at an expedited rate of $90 per hour.

• Non-Refundable Deposit: To secure a place in my calendar, clients must pay a $125 non-refundable deposit.

  • This deposit must be paid before any editing work commences, unless explicitly specified otherwise by me in writing.

  • The $125 deposit will be applied directly toward the total hours worked on the project.

  • Note: Payment of this deposit does not act as an immediate indication of current availability; timeline details must be coordinated via email.

3. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed upon in a signed, written contract:

• All content, branding, logos, graphics, and text appearing on dracwrites.com are the intellectual property of Dr. Andrea Curry and are protected by applicable copyright laws.

• Regarding client materials: The client retains all ownership and intellectual property rights to the manuscripts and texts submitted to us for editing.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use this Website only for lawful purposes. You are strictly prohibited from:

• Using the site in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Website.

• Copying, storing, hosting, transmitting, or distributing any material that consists of malicious computer software (e.g., viruses, spyware).

• Conducting any systematic or automated data collection activities (including scraping or data mining) without our express written consent.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

These Terms and Conditions are governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, legal action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Tennessee, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

7. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms and Conditions unenforceable or invalid as a whole. Such provisions shall be deleted or modified without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
